LUKULUS is a high-quality, awned, medium-early bread wheat of E (7-8) baking quality. It achieves high grain yields. The grain has a high protein content and quality gluten. During tests, the variety reached a high and stable bulk density. The Zeleny sedimentation test and the Hagberg falling number (HFN) are high too. The grain has a good resistance to overgrowth in humid weather. Bakeries appreciate the high quality of pastries. Plant height is awerage with a good resistance to lodging and freezing. Resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, fusariums and wheat rust is good. The variety is suitable for cultivation in corn and beet production areas. It has a stable yield even during periods of low rainfall. Nitrogen fertilization to achieve good quality is recommended at a rate of at least 110 kg N / ha. The Lukulus variety is one of the most cultivated winter wheats in Slovakia.
