SAMBADUR is a medium-early maturing, dark-bearded quality durum wheat.  Plants are short with dark awns. It achieves higher values of winter hardiness than the variety Wintergold and it is similar to the Lupidur variety.  Sambadur has a lower resistance to Fusarium. It has a very good tolerance to lodging but lover resistance to Powdery mildew and Brown rust. Optimal dates of sowing are from 25 September to 10 October. It is the highest-yielding winter durum wheat in Austria.
